It is with deep respect and gratitude that we honor the life and legacy of Pastor Ellis Ford, Jr., who passed away on June 2, 2026.

Born on July 17, 1939, in Lewisville, Arkansas, Pastor Ford lived 86 years marked by faith, service, and an unwavering commitment to others. His life journey carried him from Arkansas to Richmond, California, where he lived for 34 years, and eventually to Grand Prairie, Texas, where he spent another 34 years building relationships, serving his community, and faithfully ministering to countless lives.

Throughout his professional career, Pastor Ford exemplified dedication and leadership. He retired as a Supervisor with General Motors and later served as a Funeral Planner with Golden Gate Funeral Home, helping families navigate some of life's most difficult moments with compassion and care.

While his professional accomplishments were notable, his greatest passion was serving people. As Assistant Pastor of the Grand Prairie and Southlake campuses of St. John Church Unleashed, Pastor Ford faithfully served as lead of Pastoral Care under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Denny Davis. He devoted himself to encouraging, comforting, and supporting individuals and families through every season of life. Whether celebrating moments of joy or walking alongside those facing hardship, he consistently demonstrated the heart of a shepherd.

Pastor Ford's life was defined not only by what he did, but by who he was. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Known for his caring spirit, sense of humor, and steadfast loyalty, he possessed a unique ability to make others feel valued and cared for. He enjoyed traveling and loved driving, embracing opportunities to see new places and enjoy life's journey.
