Allen Dwain Dupree was born in Fort Worth Texas, on August 31, 1953, to Benjamin Dupree and Barbara Lee Dupree. He was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. He graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School, Class of 1972 and was a proud Wyatt Chaparral.
Allen was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lee Dupree, and his son Sean Dupree.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Benjamin Dupree (U. S. Air Force; son, Marques Alexi Dupree (U.S. Army) of Aurora, Colorado; five cherished and adoring grandchildren, Destiny Dupree, Zuri KHAmia Earth, Prince ALLAH KHAzyr, KHAheim Isgod ALLAH, KHAeyr Magnetic ALLAH; three sisters, Terri Dupree, Arlethia Dupree and Cynthia Dupree, all of Fort Worth. He also leaves many beloved cousins, and other family and friends in Texas, South Carolina, Michigan, and other states across the country.
Upon graduation, Allen joined the United States Marine Corps and served from July 1972 through June 1978.
After serving military duty, Allen began his career as a draftsman and several years later, made the decision to move to Detroit, where he became a professional construction inspector. Although Detroit was his home, Allen was a lifelong member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Fort Worth,
Allen was known for his keen wit and gift of storytelling, which he inherited honestly, from both his mother and father. His no-nonsense character and high standards impacted the decisions and lives of all he came into contact with.
His sons and grandchildren were his joy. Family was his priority, and he would go to great lengths planning annual vacations and visiting family and loved ones regularly. He enjoyed fishing, camping with friends and family as well as birdwatching. Allen also enjoyed cooking and was never afraid to try preparing new recipes. He also enjoyed shopping at antique shops and would often travel for miles to view their treasures.
On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Allen Dwain Dupree surrendered to the call of his Lord and Master and transitioned from earth to glory.
