CAROLYN WARREN

December 3, 1947 — May 7, 2021

Carolyn was born December 3rd, 1947 to Sgt. J.B. Jackson & Mrs. Loretha Mayes Jackson.

She attended schools in the Dallas Independent School District.

Carolyn accepted Christ at early age and was an active member of Jerusalem Baptist church until her health declined in 2017.

As a young teenager she moved to Junction City, Kansas with her father, stepmother and stepsisters, Ethel Marie and Ola until her father received orders to go to Georgia and she and her sister decided to move to Dallas and live with their respective grandparents and finish their last year of school there.

She later gave birth to her first son James Monroe. She started her career at several rehabilitation centers as an activity director. She was sought after by many as she was exceptionally good at what she did and a great addition.

Mrs. Jackson later met and married Mr. Ron Morris and moved to Ohio, her second son Michael Morris was born from that union. After the dissolution of that marriage. She and her sons moved back to Texas.

Carolyn then resumed working in the field she loved. She also found her soul mate Mr. Bender Warren and they married. Ben raised the boys as his own, helped Carolyn in being the caregivers to her grandparents that she loved so much. Ben and Carolyn also adopted their grandson, Arieus Warren and remained united until death departed them.

Mrs. Warren was a survivor, a competitor, articulate in appearance and conversation she had the ability to know her audience and could adapt to any situation.

She gave all of herself to being a mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend.

On May 7th, Carolyn said her goodbyes to all that she loved and crossed over to be embraced and be welcomed by the ones that proceeded her in death: mother, Loretha Mayes, father, Sgt. J.B. Jackson, husband, Bender Warren, stepsisters, Brandi Jackson, Ethel Marie Thompson, and stepmothers, Vera Jackson and Rose Jackson; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mayes, Mrs. Addie, Mr. Tommie & Evelyn Jackson; and several cousins, uncles, and aunts.

Carolyn was a worthy opponent a force to reckon with that smiled with a devilish twinkle in her eyes and now she’s a twinkle in the sky.

The ones you have left behind that will cherish the yesterday memories we made together and will miss you: sons, James Monroe Jackson, Michael Morris (Sharon), Arieus Warren; stepsisters, Ola  Allen Williams and Brenda; 1st cousins, Mr., and Mrs. Freddie Jackson Jr. (Dennie) Janice Wadley, Brenda Warner (Hurlis) Sandra Chatman, Judy Mitchell (Brad); 4 generations of cousins, co-workers, friends, and the family of the Renaissance @ Kessler Park Nursing Home. We will not say goodbye but goodnight until we say hello again.
