FREDDY TALTON SR

Freddy Talton, SENIOR departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022.  He was born to Dewitt GRIFFIN Talton (deceased) and Jessie Mae OWENS Talton (deceased)  whose birth was on March 21, 1950 in Farmerville, Louisiana.   Freddy Talton, SENIOR leaves to mourn him his wife of 52 years, Sallie TRAYLOR Talton, 2 daughters: Vicky LaShon Traylor of Mesquite, Texas and Cassandra Denise Talton of Balch Springs, Texas. Freddy and Sallie had 2 sons, Reginald Eugene Talton, SENIOR who preceded him in death (2016) and Freddy Talton, JUNIOR of Mesquite, Texas. Both of Freddy SENIOR’ parents preceded him in death.  Freddy’s grandchildren were many: Brittani L. McCullough; Erica M. Ferguson and Sara Randle; Reginald Eugene Talton, JUNIOR, Christina Talton; Aaron McMorris; Ieshia Dial; Freddy, III, Aija Talton, Courtney Talton.  His brother, Joe Willie TALTON preceded him in death (10-14-2014).  His 5 sisters remain (Joanne TALTON-Tisdale (George); Gloria Jean TALTON-Metoyer; Deloise TALTON-Alexander; Gertie TALTON; and Betty Gray TALTON-Rucker (Brandon).  Freddy leaves behind several great-grandchildren (Erica:  2; Freddy III: 1; Reginald JUNIOR:  1; Ieshia: 1; Aaron: 2; Christina: 2.

Freddy SENIOR was the Head Deacon at Greater South Central Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under Reverend Bowman during the 70s by which the church was very prosperous.  Freddy was an intense family man who believed in providing for his family and was a great example to his sons and his many nephews.  He will be greatly missed as he earned a precious position in life among those who knew him, his many nieces and nephews.
