MARILYN WILLIAMS

July 25, 1944 — March 22, 2021

Marilyn Williams, a long-time resident of Dallas, was called home, Wednesday March 22, 2021. Marilyn was born July 25, 1944 in Gene Autry, Oklahoma to Minnie Ola and Charles Williams. She attended school in Gene Autry and graduated as Salutatorian of her class in 1962. Marilyn went on to graduate with her Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, two Masters Degrees and was working on her Doctorate Degree in Education at the time of her passing. She worked as an Adjunct Professor at Tarrant County College. She was the founder and president if her non-profit organization the Williams Hope Project. She was an active and devoted member of St. John Church in Grand Prairie, Tx.  She was also a member and leader of several church ministries. Marilyn loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Aleta and Anthony Rashad Horton and special son-in-law, David Yancy Sr. She leaves to cherish her life and memories: Daughter; Lela Yancy, Son; Roderick Williams (Mark), Daughter; Aneesha Williams-Ebuehi (Tony), Sister; Janet A Williams. Bonus Daughter; Diedre Garrett (Devon). Special friend; Jeanine Stewart; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her church family and a host of relatives and friends.
