PATRICIA MOORE

July 28, 1951 — February 2, 2022

On Saturday. July 28, 1951, on a sunny day in Waco. Texas, a gorgeous light skin baby girl, named Patricia Ann Taylor, was gifted to her parents, Fred Taylor. and Juanita Bums.

Patricia grew up in a loving and God-fearing home with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Dunbar High School and after graduating accepted an opportunity to work for UTA College as a Degree Plan Evaluator. She sought out and enrolled 1n a cosmetology beauty school while working for UTA and quickly moved up the ladder to become a hair stylist instructor.

After graduating from the cosmetology beauty school, she retired from UTA. She stepped out on faith to become an entrepreneur and became a self-employed hairstylist at Forest Hill # l Beautique and took a part time job working for the Fort Worth ISD as a Bus Driver.

She was a member of the Texas State Cosmetology League, positions held were President of the Hairdressers and Cosmetology League, Co-Chaired Annual Convention held in Fort Worth in 2005, Chairperson for Youth for Beauty, Commentator for the Fashion Shows, Hair Designers Guild, Talent Search Committee, and Queen multiple tim.es for Texas State.

Patricia was a faithful soldier for Christ. She met and later married her Sweetheart and Life Partner, Rubin Jackie Moore, whom she loved dearly, a match made in Heaven, and together they raised five beautiful children. She and her family joined New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of her brother in-law, Pastor Michael Moore. She served God and her church faithfully by singing in the choir and serving on the hospitality committee. She loved her family and church family.

On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, God knew her pain was great, and He promised He would never place more on her than she could bear. He instructed the angels to prepare the red carpet for her and whispered  in her ear at 2:30 am, "It  is time to come home my daughter," so she answered yes, and left quietly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Taylor and Juanita Bums; brother, Ricky Bay; granddaughter, Danielle Moore.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories: her loving, kind, and dedicated husband, Rubin Jackie Moore; sons, Jack Patton Jr. (Jenny), Brian Patton (Tameca), Eddie Moore (Shemonica); daughters, Millicent Anderson (Carlos) and Erica Partee; siblings, Maggie Sparks, Douglas Taylor, Angela Davis, Benjamin Burns (Veda), Verleeta Pye, John Osbourne Jr. (Tina), Michael Bay, and David Bay (Lee); seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; god-daughter, D'mia Jackson; friends and colleagues, Wanda Mosley, Maggie Fox, Eunice Johnson, Marion Allen, and Diane Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
