SHARON JONES

November 28, 1951 — May 14, 2020

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths

of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Sharon Joseph Jones departed this life on Thursday morning May 14, 2020.

At the time of her death she was 68 years old.

Sharon was born the fourth child to Willie A.  & Virgie W. Joseph of Natchitoches, Louisiana  on November 28, 1951.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother – Donald N. Joseph.

Sharon attended and graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in social work.  She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1976.  Sharon and her husband Lee were married on November 25, 1978 for 42 years until her death.

She was employed with Childcare Associates (CCA) for 42 years until her death.  She truly loved her work.

She was a member of the First Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the direction of B.R. Daniels, Jr., Pastor.

She leaves to mourn:  her loving husband - Lee Edgar Jones,  Sr. ,  (1) daughter  - Hollee  A. Jones, (3)grandchildren - Antony, Antron, and  Holleyah Nixon,  (2) stepsons - Lee Jones , Jr.  and  Reginald Jones, both of Houston, TX.  Also mourning her loss (1) sister - Doris Hullaby, and (1) brother - James (Jimmie) Joseph of Natchitoches, LA , ; (3) aunts -  Mary Collins of Los Angeles,  California; Dorothy Brooks of Altamonte Springs, Florida,  and  Essie Cyriaque of Boyce, Louisiana.  And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will cherish her memories.
