Born on May 29, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, Ada graced the world with her brilliant spirit and unwavering kindness.

A dedicated educator, Ada passionately served as a school teacher, earning the prestigious title of Teacher of the Year in the State of Texas three times. Her career was marked by her remarkable ability to inspire young minds; she was known for her ability to "make things happen," turning nothing into something extraordinary. From her time at Booker T. Washington High School, through her education at Bishop College and Prairie View A&M, Ada's thirst for knowledge and love for teaching shaped countless lives.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ada took great pride in being a mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, a testament to the love she generously shared throughout her life. Ada was also an avid choir director and a cherished member of the gospel singing group known as the Terrell Sisters. Music was her passion, and she found immense fulfillment in singing and traveling to perform with her sisters, creating beautiful memories along the way.

Ada's warm personality shone brightly; she loved everyone who entered her life and had an exceptional gift for bringing out the best in others. Her spirituality and unwavering belief in the goodness of people made her a cherished friend to many. She always saw the potential in others, nurturing their dreams and encouraging them to pursue their aspirations.

Throughout her life, Ada cultivated a wide array of interests and hobbies, enjoying her time reading and embracing new adventures through travel. She filled the lives of those around her with joy and positivity, a loving presence that is now deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ada's remarkable life. Visitation will be held on March 6, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, March 7, 2025, at New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dallas, commencing at 11:00 AM.
