Annie Lucille Pleasant was born December 3, 1942, in Gonzales, Texas.
Annie was the eighth child of twelve children born to the proud parents of Alonzo Seay and Lucille (McPherson) Seay. Annie received her education at Edwards High School in 1960. Annie graduated from St. Phillips College in San Antonio, TX, and received her license to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked as a dialysis nurse for over 30 years.
“Annie Lou”, as she was known by family, was a devoted woman of God who confessed her belief and was baptized in Gonzales, TX at an early age. She was a long-time member of Tree Mount Temple Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX until moving to Fort Worth, TX as a Dialysis Nurse for a major healthcare employer. She became a member of Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church and served in various ministries. Her gift of singing has always been a passion that she shared everywhere she served.
Annie was a wonderful mother to one daughter, LaMildred “Bebe” Seay Branch, Dr. James Branch (son-in-law). She was also a loving and caring grandmother to her granddaughters Jamese “Meecie” and Staci “Staci Lynn” Branch. Annie also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Annie was very athletic in high school and enjoyed tennis, football, and basketball. She enjoyed watching Family Feud, Lifetime and BET movies, traveling, shopping, playing cards such as Uno, various board games such as Aggravation, and listening to an array of gospel music.
Annie Lucille Pleasant gained her wings on November 15, 2023. When the hour came, she was surrounded by her loved ones and quietly slept away in the bosom of the Lord.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Lucille Seay; brothers Charles, Billy, and Lesley; and sisters Gladys, Marian, Dorothy, Mildred, and Carolyn.
Leaving lots of love and memories are LaMildred Branch (Daughter), Dr. James Branch, Jr. (Son-in-Law), Jamese Branch and Staci Branch (Granddaughters), Alonzo Seay II (Brother), Mattie Henderson (Sister) and Joyce Benson (Sister), nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
