ANTHONY ALEXANDER

August 13, 1951 — February 3, 2021

Anthony Tremayne Alexander was born on August 13, 1951 in Dallas Texas to the late Leonard Leon Alexander and Minnie Mary Louise (Bell). He attended Pearl C. Anderson and graduated in 1969 from James Madison High School he was a proud member of the R.O.T.C. program. He excelled in marksmanship and won many awards as a sharpshooter. He accepted Christ at an early age at Greater St. James Baptist Church. Later in life united with Eastgate Baptist Church under Rev. H.D. Reagan at his passing. He was a faithful member of Eastgate Fellowship International under Rev. Larry Brice Sr. until his health failed him. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged in 1973 he served in the National Guard for 2 years. His entrepreneur skills afforded him many opportunities in the contracting industry late in life he worked at Veteran Hospital as a peer specialist. He interred in t holy matrimony with Sonya Bailey and was a loving devoted husband. Those who remain to meet him in the rapture: wife, Sonya Alexander; mother, Mary Louise Alexander sister, Cynthia Alexander (James); daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Gilkey D.D.S.; Toni Alexander, Ebony Bailey (Darryle); nephew, Terrence Alexander (Biane);nieces, Carla Davis, Tamara Davis; grandsons, Jaxon, Dilan; granddaughters, Amara and Adaora Onuigbo; In-Laws, Helen Skinner, Bobby Skinner, Sandra Skinner and Karen Gunnels. Aunt Rebecca Jones (Franklin); uncles, Sheffield in Chris Bell; Many great nieces, nephews, cousin and special friends Gary Walker and K.C. Murphy and many others.
