Anthony Ray Chatmon, a beloved husband, father, sibling, and friend, passed away on January 8th, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. Born on September 24th, 1961 in Rockwall, Texas to L.C. and Clareece Hopkins Chatmon, Anthony lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit.
Anthony's journey began in the picturesque town of Rockwall. Raised by his loving parents alongside his brother Gregory K. After completing his education, Anthony embarked upon a successful career as a truck driver. He dedicated many years of service to Wholesale Foods and Mim's Food companies. His dedication and professionalism earned him the respect of his colleagues and friends.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality. Outspoken and full of life, he had an infectious zest for living that touched everyone he encountered. His corny jokes brought laughter to the darkest days and his wise words offered guidance when it was needed most. Anthony's love for life was truly contagious.
In 2012, Anthony found the love of his life when he married Pamela Chatmon. Their union became a testament to commitment and unwavering support for one another. He was blessed with three wonderful children—Anthony Cosby, Ashley Chatmon, and Zanata Luke. Anthony poured his heart and soul into being a loving father, always ensuring that his children knew they were deeply cherished.
Anthony also reveled in the joys of being a grandfather. With five grandchildren, he embraced the role of "Papa" with unbridled joy and adoration. From playful adventures to heartfelt conversations, he created memories that will be treasured by his grandchildren forever.
