Apostle Harold Ernest Rogers, Born January 9, 1954 in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Archie Donua Rogers and Lucy V. (Gines) Rogers, the 8th of 10 children. Raised in the Churches of God in Christ, Apostle Rogers accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 18, a senior in high school. He graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1972. An outstanding student, leader, scholar and football athlete, he was awarded an academic scholarship to Siena College in Loudonville, NY. His career goal was to become a news broadcaster, but God had another purpose for his life.
Upon attending Siena College, he was adopted into a second family in the state of New York where he met the love of his life and soulmate, Sharon Elise Davenport, and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 15, 2024. To that union 5 children were born. As an entrepreneur he had a very satisfying and distinguished career as a carpenter, achieving the dream of owning his own business, DBA First Class Remodeling.
A true man of God, Apostle Rogers received tutelage in those early years under the guidance of older, well renowned ministers of the gospel in Nacogdoches. He relocated to Dallas in 1977 and united with Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, Inc. It was there that he settled, growing in God and faithfully serving under the leadership of the late Apostle Lobias Murray for over 25 years, before starting his own ministry in 1997. He quickly developed a reputation of being an uncompromising man of God and proclaimed Daniel 11:32b as his motto “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”. Never wavering in his belief, he led innumerable souls to God and would rejoice each and every time in just knowing that the angels in heaven were rejoicing. It was his mission to spread the gospel and to please God! Apostle Rogers has been a devoted and passionate leader as Founder and Overseer of the United Holiness Deliverance Temple Church, Inc. (UHDT) since 1997, over 27 years. With locations now in 3 Texas cities (Dallas, Atlanta & Corsicana), UHDT is a ministry for which he stood firmly on the unchanging word of God.
