ARIC JUNIOR BATTS was born in Dallas, Texas on April 12th, 1968, to proud parents of Alton and Margaret Batts. He accepted Christ at an early age at Southern Hills Church of Christ. Aric attended Lincoln High School and graduated class of 1987.
Aric worked for the City of Dallas (Park and Recreation) for many years until his health started to decline. Aric had a passion for life and love for the Dallas Cowboys that was unparalleled.
From the thrill of game days to sharing stories of legendary players embodied the true spirit of a Cowboys fan. He could often be found cheering on the team and dressed in his favorite Cowboys gear. Beyond football, Aric enjoyed dancing, playing dominos, old-school cars, and spending time with his wife, children, family, and friends.
Aric married his wife Alaya Batts on March 29, 2019. Their love for each other was evident in everything they did, and they were a true partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Aric is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Batts, and Valverta Batts; his maternal grandparents, James English Sr. and Dollie Mae English.
Aric leaves to cherish his most precious memories to his devoted wife Alaya Batts; father, Alton Batts; mother, Margaret Batts of Garland, TX; four children: daughter, Arika Coleman (Brittien) of Rowlett, TX; son, Aarick Jacobi Batts of Dallas, TX; twin sons, Elijah and Zechariah Batts of Dallas, TX; two step-children; Arteemus Rivers of Dallas, TX and Nastossia Brackens (Lance) of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Tequlla English-Aaron (Tony) of Rowlett, TX, Angela English-Battee of Dallas, TX and Thomasine English of Dallas, TX; brothers-in-law, Curtis Gibbs (Tamika) of Grand Prairie, TX, Tommy Ned (Sheryl) of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters-in-law, Demetrius Bollin (Antonio) of Dallas, TX and Keshia Rivers of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, A’niya Coleman, Brittien Coleman Jr., Angel Janiece Batts and J’Coryion Rivers; and a host of other beloved relatives, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
