Born on June 22, 1968, Artis lived a life rich in generosity, passion, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

As a truck driver, he roamed the highways with pride and purpose, a provider and protector who always aimed to give his family the best life possible. His cool exterior belied a vibrant spirit; he was undeniably the life of the party, infusing joy and laughter into every gathering he graced. Artis had a unique ability to connect with people, drawing them in with his warm smile and infectious charm.

Sporting a love-hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys, he would find himself engrossed in their games, shouting at the TV with disarming fervor. His passion extended beyond mere fandom; he found solace and camaraderie in sports. Whether it was passionately cheering for his favorite teams, engaging in spirited games of dominoes, or demonstrating his skills in ping pong, every moment spent in the thrill of sport was cherished. He was also a devoted coach, sharing his love for the game with little league basketball, nurturing the potential of young athletes as he refereed with integrity and fairness.

The legacy of Artis Lynn Wooten will be honored during a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas on August 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life at Friendship West Baptist Church on August 31, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM.
