On February 21, 1950, Charles H. and Lorenza Grays was blessed with the birth of their daughter Barbara. She attended school at Riverside Elementary, Sunrise Elementary and Dunbar High School of Fort Worth Independent School District. She united with the Sweet Home Baptist Church at a young age with her parents and two brothers, Doyle Ray Grays and Charles H.Grays Jr. of Fort Worth under the leadership of the late Rev.Roy Bivens.

Barbara Grays Mason later married Kelly Mason and in this union of marriage they were blessed with four children. Barbara Faye soon moved her membership to the First Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the late, Rev. David Ray King. She was very active, assisting in various church functions. She found her greatest pleasure working in the choir.

She then move her membership to Tucker Street Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Nathaniel P. Menkins. During this time, she served as the church secretary, a member of the Women of Purpose Mission and a faithful choir member where she continue running the race for her Lord until sickness surpassed her.

Our loving mother, Barbara Faye Mason, was a very dedicated and hard worker. She worked for the city of Fort Worth for 27 years. She worked in the employment and training department, “The Working Connection”, for the City of Fort Worth. She ended her employment working at the Health Vital Statistics of Fort Worth until she retired.

During her life, all too brief on this earth, many lives were blessed by making her acquaintance through her church and work Many friendships were made, after awhile she had to help with her mother and father, for both are up in age, along her side was her oldest son, Fredrick Mason, who now has the torch to carry, but only for a little while until we meet again.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her longtime companion, Joe Johnson; her children, Fredrick Roosevelt Mason(Patrice), Kelly Gerrelle Mason(Billie Jean), Brian Keith Mason, and Dectria Renay Jones (Jeffrey), one stepson, Tredrick Waldon (Raci Jone sister, Ethel Gray-Howell, two brothers, Doyle Ray Grays(J, Charles H. Grays Jr.(Devora); six grandchildren, Sharonda Johnson, Isyss Mason, Kelly Mason Jr. and Brian Mason Jr., Makiya Waldon, Lyric Waldon, one great­ grandchild, Elijah Stanford, and a host of other relatives and friends.
