Bertha Mae Hoskins

Bertha Mae Hoskins, a cherished member of her community and a dedicated retired Walmart associate, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Greenville, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1946, in Greenville, where she spent the entirety of her life, contributing to the fabric of her beloved hometown.

Bertha was admired not only for her work ethic but also for her endless compassion and kindness. With an Associates degree, she sought to foster connections with her colleagues and customers alike, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her career at Walmart is a testament to her commitment to service and her unwavering dedication to those around her.

She is survived by her beloved son, Walley Hoskins, brothers, Willie L. Drennon and Michael Drennon, and sister, Tippie Drennon. Her granddaughter, Terisha Hoskins, will carry on her memory with love along with a host of other relatives and friends, including her dear friend, Mary Dean. Each of these individuals holds a piece of Bertha's heart, and they will continue to honor her legacy in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing, which will take place at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, on January 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow on January 11, 2025, at the Greenville Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, starting at 1:00 PM.

As the family gathers to celebrate Bertha’s life, they invite all who knew her to share in their time of remembrance as they reflect on her warmth, strength, and the love she instilled in everyone around her.
