BIRTEE BRATTON

Birtee Bratton, a beloved member of the Dallas and a dedicated bus for the Dallas Independent School District (DISD), passed away on September 13, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on February 11, 1948, in Cushing, Texas, Birtee’s life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to family and her deep compassion for others.

Birtee was known for her sweet and loving personality, never having met a stranger. Her caring and understanding nature enriched the lives of those around her, and she was respected and admired by her peers and the students she transported daily. Throughout her years as a bus driver, Birtee approached her work with a sense of responsibility and joy that left a lasting impression on many.

Her passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid traveler, a great cook, and had a green thumb, enjoying gardening as a way to unwind and connect with nature. Birtee's love for cooking was often shared with family and friends, where many fond memories were created over delicious meals.

Above all, Birtee was proud of her family, which she considered her most significant accomplishment. Her legacy of love, kindness, and giving will undoubtedly resonate with all who knew her.

A Prayer Service will be held in her honor on September 20, 2024, starting at 7:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects. The Funeral Service will take place the following day, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Valley Grove CME in Cushing, Texas.

Birtee Bratton will be remembered not just for her professional contributions but for the warmth of her character and the love she shared with others. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
