BOBBIE ARTHUR

Bobbie Ray Arthur was born August 8, 1960 in Pineville, Louisiana to Pastor Robert Lee Arthur Sr. and Leezella Arthur. He is the fourth child of seven children raise in Colfax, LA.Bobbie Ray Arthur graduated from Montgomery High School in Montgomery, LA. He then joined the United States Army and served for 8 years. Bobbie worked at the Dallas Independent School District  for 22 years and effective retirement is August 2018. Bobbie was loved by so many people. He had a way of lighting up your life with his infectious smile. He loved to work with children and did so through sports, working as a coach for little league. Bobbie Ray Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Dedra Swinton Arthur, father, Robert Lee Arthur Sr. and mother, Leezella Arthur. Bobbie Ray Arthur is survived by his son, Derek L. Arthur; fiancé, Elona Lenette Washington; brothers, Frederick L. Arthur (Valeria), Pastor Gregory Arthur (Loretta), Roderick B. Arthur and Robert L. Arthur Jr.; sisters, Gloria J. Arthur and Janice M. Perry; mother-in-law, Gwendolyn Swinton; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
