BRANT HARTNELL

February 4, 1973 — January 20, 2025

Brant Hartnell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on February 4, 1973, in Laramie, Wyoming, Brant filled his life with love, laughter, and a remarkable spirit that touched everyone around him.

Known for his unwavering dedication, Brant excelled in his career, working as a welder, forklift operator, and shipping manager. His commitment to safety was evident as he administered the OSHA forklift operator certification test to employees, ensuring a secure workplace for all.

Education was important to Brant; he graduated at the top of his class from Colter Boys School, showcasing his determination with perfect attendance. He furthered his education at ATI Institute of Technology, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for a successful career.

Brant's zest for life was infectious. He was full of personality, never meeting a stranger, and always ready to share a joke—no matter how funny or not. His animated storytelling captivated the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to sit and listen. His ability to engage in conversations made every encounter with him memorable.

He served his country with pride as an Army veteran, working with tanks. This experience only deepened his sense of service and protection, something he carried with him throughout his life. He made his wife, Tammie Hartnell, feel safe and secure, exuding the role of a protector in their family.

Brant's hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit. He found joy in riding his motorcycle as a proud member of the motorcycle club, 2 Wheel Menace. He embraced life fully at Renaissance Festivals as a member of the color guard. In addition to his outdoor pursuits of hunting and fishing, Brant cherished his time spent with family, particularly playing the video game Call of Duty and sharing laughter and adventures with his grandchildren: Julian, Tyson, Benny, Hailey, and Emery.

His accomplishments extended beyond his career and hobbies. Brant took great pride in quitting smoking and stopping drinking alcohol, demonstrating his resilience and commitment to personal growth.

Brant leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Tammie, daughters Katie and Candance Hornsby and her husband Kevin Hornsby, and sons Devin and Anthony. As we remember Brant, we are heartened by the love he shared and the indelible mark he left on all our hearts. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his story-telling, laughter, and the profound love he had for his family. Rest in peace, dear Brant. Your spirit will forever ride alongside us.
