Calvin Ray Flood, a beloved IT Professional in the Computer Industry, passed away on January 5, 2024, at his residence. He was 65 years old.
Calvin was born on February 24, 1958, in Delhi, Louisiana. Growing up in a small town, he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for learning. He pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor's degree from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. Armed with knowledge and determination, Calvin embarked on a successful career in the computer industry, leaving an indelible mark on those he worked with.
Throughout his life, Calvin had an unwavering commitment to his family. He cherished his beloved wife Donna J. Flood and their four children: Davara J. Flood, Calvin C. Flood, Deiandra J. Flood, and his son Calvin Michael Flood who has sadly preceded him in death. The bond between them was unbreakable and their love for one another was evident to all who knew them.
As much as he dedicated himself to his profession and family, Calvin cultivated hobbies that brought him immense joy. Music spoke to his soul; he could often be found lost in the melodies of his favorite tunes. Football was another passion that fueled his competitive spirit and brought him closer to friends who shared this interest.
Calvin's impact extended beyond the boundaries of work-life balance and personal interests. His charismatic nature drew people to him effortlessly and ignited deep connections with those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He possessed an infectious sense of humor that would light up any room he entered.
To honor Calvin's memory and celebrate the beautiful life he lived, viewing services will be held on January 18th at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Euless, Texas from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day on January 19th, starting at 11:00 AM at the same location. Friends and family are invited to join together in remembrance and find solace in each other's company.
Calvin Ray Flood will forever be remembered as a dedicated professional, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a cherished friend. His spirit lives on through the memories we hold dear in our hearts. While the world mourns his loss, we take solace in knowing that he has found eternal peace.
