CARL MAYES

Carl Leon Mayes was born May 30th, 1985 in Dallas Texas to O’Shelia Mayes and Wilmer Armstrong. He completed his education within the Dallas Independent School District at Bryan Adams High School. Carl Mayes married Valencia (Wilson) Mayes on April 14, 2021. Carl devoted his time to hard work and enjoyed time with his family during the holiday seasons. He was known for calling each family member during Thanksgiving and Christmas to ask where the holiday celebration would be held. Carl devoted his life to working and providing for his family. Carl Mayes departed this life on January 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by grandparents: Catherine and Jessie Armstrong; Earl and Cora L. Mayes, two cousins; Corrie D. Mayes and Kenneth D. Mayes. He leaves to cherish in his memory: his beloved wife of 6 years Valencia Mayes, a daughter, Kyla Mayes; three sons, CarlMayesJr. Kyle Mayes, Vincent Mayes; two stepchildren, Anthony Porter, and De’Corrian Fariyike. Four sisters; Janet Mayes-Hamilton, Taylor Armstrong, Fallon Armstrong and Madison Armstrong; One Brother, Damon Nelson. His Mother O’Shelia Mayes; Father: Wilmer Armstrong, and a host of family and friends.
