Cecil Wayne Thompson, born on October 18, 1952, bid farewell to the world on May 22, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was a cherished individual whose memory will forever be etched in hearts of those who knew him.

The services to honor remember Cecil will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas on May31, starting with a viewing from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, June 1, at Mt Calvary COGIC in Quitman, commencing at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM.

Cecil Wayne Thompson was a proud native of Mineola, Texas, where he embarked on his life's journey before ultimately finding peace in Tyler. Throughout his time with us, he touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion.

He is survived by his Loving Daughters, other relatives, and friends who meant the world to him. Cecil's presence brought joy and warmth to all those around him. His legacy will live on through the fond memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
