CHARLES EDWARD CLEAVER

Charles Edward Cleaver was born September 16, 1938, to the parents of Weldon G. Cleaver and Louizza Johnson in Rusk, TX. He relocated to Dallas at an early age to live with his father and stepmother, Evelyn Cleaver.

 Charles graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. He was a longtime employee of the Santa Fe Railway. He later relocated to Los Angeles, CA to begin a career with American Airlines. In 2010, he moved back to Rusk, TX to enjoy his retirement. At that time he became a proud member of Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Jacksonville, TX under the leadership of Dr. Charles Walls.

 He leaves behind three brothers, Weldon Len Cleaver (Cassandra), Ellis Wayne Cleaver (Stephanie), and Michael David Cleaver (Rozalind); one special god-sister, Margaret Rigsby. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
