CLIFTON MITCHELL

CLIFTON JOSHUA MITTCHELL was born on January 13, 1934 in Weimar, Texas to the proud parents of the late Vasey Lee and Georgia Ann Mitchell. Clifton attended the Weimar School District with the completion of Weimar High School. Clifton was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of is life, Carita Earline Mitchell. Clifton and Carita were married for forty three years. During their early years of marriage they attended New Bethel Baptist Church of Danevang, Texas. During those years they were blessed with four beautiful children. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife; Carita Mitchell of Mesquite, TX., four children; Sandra Mitchell-Taylor of Mesquite, TX., Pamela Mitchell-Estes of Mesquite, TX., Roderick Joshua Mitchell of Dallas, TX., Carita Ann Mitchell of Richardson, TX., four grandchildren, one great-child, sisters; Bobbie Jean and Shirley Marie, brother, Marvin Mitchell and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends. On January 18, 2021, Clifton left this earth on the Wings of Angels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vasey Lee and Georgia Ann Mitchell, three sisters; Emma Lee Mitchell-Craft, Georgia Mae Mitchell-Watson, one brother, Vasey Coke Mitchell Jr. Clifton was a loving and caring husband and father. He was “IF” to all this friends and children. His home was their home away from home. He never met a stranger, his personality reflected the true spirit of our Lord and Savior. He opened his home and heart to anyone in need of love, compassion or support.
