CORNELIUS JONES

On July 28, 2021, Cornelius W. Jones Jr., a loving brother and uncle passed away at the age of 69.  Cornelius was born on June 30, 1952 in Beaumont, Texas and was a member of the 1970 graduating Class of Hebert High School. He was lovingly known as Connie to his family, (Butch to his friends).  After graduating from college, he worked for Dow Chemical Company and subsequently retired as a drafting engineer from American Airlines in Dallas, Texas.  Connie had a big sense of humor and deeply loved children especially his nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Cornelius W. Jones, Sr.,  mother Dovie Bernice Jones Price and sister, Agnes Greene. He is survived by 2 brothers, Chester Waldon and Darryl Jones and 2 sisters, Rita Wainright and Vicki Jones as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at Park Central Baptist Church (Lake Pointe Church) 7777 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75251 at 1:00 pm. The church phone number is: 469-698-2370
