Damien was born on September 26,1977 to the late George Anderson, Jr. and Brenda Minifield Jenkins.
Damien professed Christ at an early age and united in faith at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church during his youth. He attended Samuell High School and later continued his education at Mountain View College where he received his certification in auto mechanic. Damien was a devoted father, friend, and companion. He respected the unique personalities of the people that God bought into his life, and he sought to truly know and understand everyone. He looked for opportunities to build people up by speaking words of encouragement, acceptance and by offering his help when possible. His home provided shelter to many, and he did so generously without expecting much in return. When his friends were faced with the trials of life, he was there to offer a hand and help them on their way. The Bible says that we shall know a man by his works and how he treats others. Damien was not perfect, none of us are, but he truly lived his life by the creed of do unto others.
He loved his family, especially his children. His life was intertwined with the need to be with them. He loved all the children that God entrusted to him and who were part of his life. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, sweet smile, and contagious laughter.
Damien leaves to cherish his memories: Daughter, Alicia Ross Minifield, Daughter, Latavia Ross Minifield, Son, Daraiyvion Minifield Henderson, Son, Deandre Lynn Simon; Mother, Brenda Minifield Jenkins; Sister, Bria S. Moten; Grandmother, Claranese Minifield; and Uncle, James Minifield. Damien was also loved as a father by Derrick Ross and Tiara Ross. He will be forever remembered by cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
