Danny Ray Evans, Sr., fondly known remembered as “Boone” by his fraternity brothers was born June 6, 1954 to Timothy Felix Evan and Mae Dean Evans, Danny had the most beautiful smile and was a jokester!

Danny was educated in the Little Rock, AR school district and was proud of attending Horace Mann before ultimately transferring to and graduating from Parkview High School in 1972. he always talked proudly of his football days as number “24” on the team.

Danny confessed his life to Christ at an early age at St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Felix Evans. He later untied in membership with Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Curtis W. Wallace and First Lady Phyllis Wallace. He was also an associate minister.

Danny left his earthly home on Monday, June 6, 2022, entering into eternal rest. He was 68 years old. Above all, Danny loved the Lord and his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his father Rev. Timothy F. Evans, grandfather Rev. Felix T. Evans, grandmother Elizabeth B. Evans.

Loving family member who will cherish his memories are: wife, Carolyn Evans of Mesquite, TX; sons, Danny R. Evans, Jr. and Chun K. Evans of Mesquite, TX; mother Mae Dean Evans of Cordova, TN; brothers, Timothy (April) Evans, III of Bartlett, TN, Brian (Melody) Todd Evans of Gary, IN; grandchildren  Deja Evans, Christian Evans, Faith Evans, Taylor Evans, Cadence Evans, Breov Hernandez, Brandon Taylor all of Dallas, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and many loving friends.
