Daumyneke Khryshale Rollins was born on December 1st, 1996 to the parents of Christopher and Darneshia Rollins in Dallas TX. From the birth Daumyneke was a unique and special gift from God. She started her educational career in the Dallas public school system at Paul Lawrence Dunbar Elementary, and later moved to the Richardson Independent School District where she attended Merriman Park Elementary, Apollo Junior High and L.V Berkner High school where she graduated in 2015. Daumyneke absolutely loved school and made many friends and loved all of her teachers.
For those of you who didn’t know, there were things that she couldn’t do. Although she was unable to verbally communicate, or successfully ambulate, she was still able to navigate through this journey called life. Some people looked at her and saw what she couldn’t do, but that’s not who she was. She could smile, laugh, and feel unbridled happiness. Our diva could love without condition, and show her love without ever saying a word.
She Taught us how to be happy because she took so much joy in the simple things like seeing her family, a favorite nurse, and watching her favorite shows. We could look to her for inner strength and perseverance, as she continued to fight battles pertaining to health and limitations that would cause others to surrender.
Daumyneke gave us the gift of perspective. This reminded us that most of our problems were not really problems, and to be grateful for what we have. We must cherish the beautiful moments daily, because ultimately life is fragile, and someday all too soon, we must say goodbye.
Those who made the journey before her are her maternal great-grandmother Helen Ward, and her paternal Grandmother Cheryl Elaine Rollins (whom she adored) Great-grandparents Thomas and Audrey Rollins. To cherish her memories are her parents Christopher and Darneshia Rollins, sisters Ashlee and Cortnie Rollins, aunts Krystal Collins and DeAnna Wilson, Cousin Reilly Williams and maternal Grandparents Carolyn and Donald Wilson. Remembering her forever are her Great aunts and uncles, her cousins, and a host of friends.
