In addition to Deloris Ross and David W.C Ross, David is survived by his step-father Willie Chattam, relatives; Cecil Brown (brother), Ranetta Chattam (sister), Aaron Boson (brother-in-law), Mark Boson Sr. (brother-in-law), Carol Boson (sister-in-law) George Boson Jr. (brother-in-law), Art Thompson (uncle), Michelle Thompson (aunt), and numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Chattam, father Fain Brown, and sister Adria Diane Ross.
David's kindness extended beyond his immediate family; he formed strong connections with friends throughout his life journey. His genuine interest in people allowed him to form deep bonds effortlessly. David was often described as a "people person" who never met a stranger. He approached everyone with warmth and sincerity, making them feel heard and valued through both good times and bad.
Aside from his vibrant social life, David had various interests that brought him immense pleasure. He had an undeniable enthusiasm for race cars and would often immerse himself in the details of mechanics. Being an ardent Cowboys fan, David never missed a game and reveled in the victories of his beloved team.
