DAVID WHITLEY

David Charles Whitley was born April 28, 1939 in Houston, Texas, to Elijah James Whitley and Mary Brown. He attended E.O. Smith School in Houston, Texas, and later relocated to Dallas, Texas. He met and married Edna S. Whitley of Jackson, Mississippi.

David spent time enjoying family and friends, and also playing golf.

David C. Whitley departed this life on May 8, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Elijah J. Whitley; mother, Mary Brown; brother, A.B. Whitley; sister, Dorothy Whitley; Tom Whitley and Klankie Whitley; nephews, Donald Ray Whitley and E.J. Whitley, III.

He leaves to mourn: his brother, Elijah James Whitley; his wife, Lois Whitley of Slidell, LA; five sons, Nick Whitley of Dallas, Texas, Nickoe E. Whitley of Jackson, Mississippi, Nicolas Whitley, Corey and Christ Brantley of Dallas, Texas, Netra Cooper, Keisha, Kim, Shannon and Debra Palmer of Jackson, Mississippi; his loving daughter-in-law, Lashawndra Turner of Jackson, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Nickoe and Trey Whitley of Jackson, Mississippi, Christopher Whitley, T.C. Whitley of Jackson, Mississippi, Aaliyah and Nick-O Whitley of Dallas, Texas; and a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
