DAVID ROSS

July 5, 1962 — June 22, 2022

Lieutenant Colonel David Wayne Ross was born on July 5, 1962 and was the son of Roger and Ella Johnson. LTC Ross attended grade school in Dallas ISD and completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Prairie View A & M University in Automotive Engineering and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

After completing his education, he began a career of serving his country in the US Army (May of 1984) and touching many lives all over the world.

G3/ACOS, Director, Maintenance Branch Chief, State Marksmanship Coordinator and Chief of Police – Fort Hood, Texas.

LTC Ross was a member of the Texas State Trooper Association, Department of Public Safety Association, Combined Law Enforcement Association of TX, Masonic Lodge of Dallas, TX, Fraternal Order of Police and the Central Texas Chief of Police Association.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Roger and Ella Johnson; his wife, Tiffany, children: David (Janene), Landerish (Benny), Tiara, Daison, Ahmad, Devin, and Blake; Grandchildren: Cameron, Kainberien, Colin, Andrew, Amyia, and Nylia; siblings: Stardasha, Sabrina, Shannon and Zyion; and a host of other family members and friends.
