David M. Stromile gained his wings on Friday, January 22. A native resident of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, David (affectionately known as Son) was born to Robert “Jack” and Ordlee Stromile on March 14, 1949. He graduated from Carrie Martin High School in 1967 and moved to the big city, Dallas, Texas. Upon his transition to Dallas, Stromile was employed by Manor Bakery. He later took his talent to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, where he ascended to the rank of Assistant Deputy Sheriff. He ended his professional career at Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Jack” and Ordlee Stromile; a sister, Gladys Dan; and a brother, R. Michael Stromile. He leaves to cherish his memory: Earnestine Stromile, his loving wife of 52 years; two daughters: Monica Stromile and Shay Stromile; one son: David “Ju-Ju” Stromile (Jamil); Two grandchildren: Rhegan and Mason Stromile; Four sisters: Betty Stromile Reddix, Louise Stromile, Robbie Stromile Newman (Charles), and Debra Stromile Caston. His memory will also be treasured by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
