DIANA MARIE DAVIS

Diana Marie Davis, a cherished member of the community, departed this life on February 8, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on August 16, 1950, Diana made her mark as an inspiring individual, beloved for her vibrant spirit and warm-hearted nature.

Diana was known for her remarkable talents in cooking and hospitality, owning the beloved establishment Alberta's Kountry Kitchen soul food restaurant in Irving, Texas and Moms Kountry Kitchen soul food restaurants in Dallas, Texas. Through her culinary creations, she brought joy and comfort to countless individuals and families, creating a legacy of delicious soul food that resonated throughout the community.

Beyond her success in the culinary field, Diana was a dynamic entrepreneur, operating B and D Janitorial Service in Tarrant County. Her work ethic and dedication to service extended to her active participation as a member of the NAACP Irving Chapter, where she advocated for equality and justice in her community. She was also a nurturing mentor as a Girl Scout troop leader, teaching young girls essential life skills and values.

Diana's expansive talents did not end there; her creativity shone through her passion for crafting and beautification. A testament to her leadership, she organized notable events such as a modeling contest with K104 and hosted various illustrious figures, including Michael Baisden, Dick Gregory, Martin Luther King, III and  Montell Jordan. Diana’s contributions to her community were further exemplified by her athletic prowess; she won state in tennis while representing J.O. Davis High School under the guidance of Coach Samuel Morton and enjoyed playing first base on the Bear Creek softball team.

A woman who loved deeply, Diana fostered community by hosting large block parties for children, creating a sense of joy and unity among neighbors. Her outgoing personality made her a beacon of light in many people's lives, establishing friendships that spanned generations. She loved her yearly travel by car with the entire staff to Las Vegas and loved fishing any place anytime 

Diana’s memory will be honored during a Wake Service on Friday February 14, 2025, From 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas. A Funeral Service will follow on Saturday February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bear Creek Community Church, situated at 2700 Finley Road, Irving, Texas.

Her legacy of love, community service, and culinary artistry will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Diana Marie Davis will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire others to love, serve, and cherish their community.
