Dianne Reneeâ Byrd was welcomed to her new heavenly home the evening of July 16, 2016 following a lifetime of love which began on September 18, 1961 when her parents, Albert Leon Byrd and Calversia Allen Byrd, where blessed by her birth in Dallas, Texas. Dianne was the fifth child of six children born into this Byrd family.
Those who graduated from Business Management High Schoolâs class of 1978 would surely recall Diane as a fun-loving, but determined person. In fact, she was quite the achiever. She had a successful career in the banking industry, and in the midst of working long hours and raising two children, Dianne also authored three unpublished books, earned a nursing degree, and became a licensed real estate agent. Certainly, whatever Dianne set her mind to do, she did accomplish.
You could always count on Dianne to liven up any celebration or gathering. She loved to have fun, to laugh, and she really knew how to enjoy life. Among the things that brought her joy was singing â all the time, traveling because she loved making memories, and good food with good company. But at the top of her list was family, friends, and seeing them happy. You see, Dianne was an avid giver and sought every opportunity to let you know she loved you. It seemed that she just couldnât wait to see the joy on the face of others. This was often proven by the fact that she could barely wait until Christmas, birthdays, or other special events for you to open your gift, sometimes making you open it early or telling you what it if you took too long.
Dianne accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Woodbine Church of God in Christ where her father was pastor and a COGIC Superintendent. She later joined Good Shepherd Baptist Church. In October 2003, Diane became a founding member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, where her youngest brother is the founding pastor. She served in the choir and on special events committees.
In her passing, Diane will reunite with her father, Supt. Albert Leon Byrd. Her living legacy includes: Her mother, Calversia Byrd; one son â JaiMichael Byrd of Dallas, TX; one daughter â JaiVonda Byrd of San Diego, CA; one sister â Alberta Broughton; four brothers â Calvin Byrd (Iva), Willie Van Byrd (Scherry), Larry Byrd (Tony), and Andreâ Byrd, Sr. (Jacqueline), all of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren â Jeremiah Byrd, Jaden Blake, and Camery Morton of Dallas, TX ; along with much-loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
