In loving memory of Dominique Ardjone Tinsley, who brought joy and laughter to every life he touched, we gather celebrate his life that spanned from April 5, 1975, until November 27, 2024. Dominique passed away in Terrell, Texas, leaving behind a vibrant legacy filled with dance, music, and cherished moments.
Dominique was known for his fun-loving spirit; he was truly the life the party. His infectious energy could brighten the dullest of days. A passionate dancer, he drew inspiration from the unforgettable rhythms of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, and Prince, embodying their talents with a unique flair that captivated all who watched him move. He found great enjoyment not only in dancing but also in indulging in the adventures of television’s beloved superheroes, particularly The Power Rangers, and immersing himself in the competitive world of Mortal Kombat video games. These hobbies, along with his favorite foods—chicken and pizza—paint a picture of a man who embraced life with zest and enthusiasm.
Dominique cherished the connections he fostered with his family and friends. He loved to interact and communicate, sharing stories and laughter, creating bonds that will remain deeply ingrained in the hearts of those who knew him. No matter where life took him, he always ensured he was prepared with his trusty watch, wallet, and cell phone, symbols of his readiness to engage with the world around him.
Dominique’s faith in God was central to his identity, guiding him through life’s challenges and triumphs. His spiritual conviction shaped not only his outlook but also the way he connected with others, offering support and kindness in everything he did.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish the memories they created together. Dominique is survived by his father, Grafton Tinsley Sr.; his brothers, Reginald Tinsley (Yolanda), Tony Tinsley, and Grafton Tinsley Jr.; and his sisters, Octavia Glover and Yolanda Tunstall and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Each of them carries forward pieces of his legacy, holding tightly to their shared experiences and the joy he brought into their lives.
Though Dominique's mother, Tennie Ruth Tatum Black, sister, Gwendolyn Tinsley Elliott, and brother, Clayburn Tinsley have passed away, we find comfort in believing that they are now reunited, sharing laughter and love in a place free from earthly worries.
As we gather to remember Dominique Ardjone Tinsley, let us celebrate the joy he radiated and the warmth he brought to our lives. His spirit will continue to dance in our hearts, reminding us to embrace life, connect with one another, and hold fast to our cherished memories. Rest in peace, dear Dominique; your light will never be forgotten.
