Doris Marie Howard, a luminous and a cherished soul, graciously departed from this world on September 21, 2024, at the vibrant age of 97. Born on November 5,1926, Doris lived a life steeped in warmth, positivity, an infectious zest for life that inspired all who knew her.

Doris was known for her smile, unwavering support and delightful sense of humor that could light up the darkest room. In every gathering, she was the welcome embrace that wrapped around friends and family alike, always with kind words and an uplifting presence. Her caring nature was apparent in all her interactions, as she invested her time and energy into those she loved, making them feel seen, valued, and understood.

A devoted enthusiast of life's simple pleasures, Doris found joy in completing puzzles that challenged her mind while soothing her spirit. Each piece, a reminder of the beautiful tapestry of her life—intricately woven together by triumphs, trials, friendships, and cherished moments. She also had a fondness for Judge Judy, entranced by the courtroom dramas and the wisdom the beloved judge imparted. Her passion for basketball was equally fervent; the thrill of the game echoed her own unstoppable spirit.

Doris's celebration of life will continue with a visitation on October 2, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service honoring her remarkable journey will follow on October 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also held at the Golden Gate Funeral Home.
