It is with great sadness that we announce the passing Elbert Houston, Jr, a beloved member of our community, who departed this life on September 28, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born in Milford, Texas, Elbert brought joy and warmth to those who knew him with his laid-back and quiet personality.

Elbert dedicated his career to being a warehouse worker, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. Throughout his life, he found fulfillment in his work and was proud of the accomplishments he achieved for his family.

Beyond his professional life, Elbert had a passion for martial arts and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He embraced his interests wholeheartedly, which brought him much happiness and camaraderie with friends and fellow fans.

Elbert’s pride and joy were his family, with whom he shared countless cherished memories. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Viewing services will be held on October 13, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Following this, a funeral service to honor Elbert’s life will take place on October 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

Elbert Houston will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
