ELLA JEFFERSON

Mrs. Ella Mae Cartwright Jefferson was born on April 23, 1940 in Marlin, Texas to the late Elizabeth Lonnie Cartwright.

Mrs. Ella Mae Cartwright Jefferson received her education from Texas Public Schools and worked as Housekeeper for many years.

She dedicated her life to Christ at the young age of 24. Since then, she’s been a faithful servant in the Christian Community. Ella loved to travel, attending churches throughout the Dallas Metroplex and across the United States. Ella was united in marriage for 35 years to the late Mr. Roy L. Jefferson.

She departed this life at the age of 82 on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Baylor Select Specialty Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Lonnie Cartwright, husband Roy L. Jefferson, brother Rodger E. Cartwright and nephew Roger E. Johnson

She leaves to celebrate and honor her life: nieces, Angela Marshall (David), Rosaline E. Montgomery, great nieces Janie R. Marshall, Rachel E. Montgomery, Cachet Johnson, Rolandra Johnson; great nephews, Aaron E. Marshall, Roger E. Johnson, Jr. Eric Johnson, Kenya Randle, a host of great-great nieces/nephews, her BFF Betty Armstrong, and a host of many friends who loved her dearly.
