ELLENOR PRESTON

On November 10, 1963, in Dallas’ Parkland Hospital, Ellennor Louise Preston was born to parents Ella Simon and Joe L. Preston. As a young girl, Ellennor thrived in sports and took a special liking to gymnastics. As a teen, she was both beautiful and popular, graduating from Fort Worth’s D. Wyatt High School in the early 80’s. Adulthood initially began with her working at the Fort Worth State School, then, really blossomed with the birth of her first son, Hamp, in August of ’89, and her second, Willy, in July of ’98. She settled into a career in small restaurant management. She made a life for herself in N. Richland Hills, her life in church. She held onto God’s unchanging hand until the sun set on May 8, 2018.

Ellennor is preceded in homegoing by both her parents, Ella Witt and Joe Preston; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by: her sons, Hamp David Calhoun and Willy Louis Johnson; her sister, Samantha Lynch; niece, Tiffany Jones; her brother, Charles Lynch; nephew, Ashton Sharp; niece, Tempest Bolewane; her five aunts, Ruth, Helen, Bernice, Denice, and Robbie Nell; and a host of cousins in both Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas
