ERIC HAMPTON

Eric Tyrone Hampton, 53,  passed away on May 27, 2018. He was born on December 6, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas to Bobby Jo Hampton and Allie Ray Terrell.

Eric attended O. S. Turner Elementary, J. Pelder Middle School and Northside High School where he enjoyed playing freshman football, varsity basketball and was a drummer in the high school band. He later enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserves for 10 years with an honorable discharge. Eric then went to work for the Fort Worth Transportation Autority where he worked 20 years. He had a love for Trucks and Automobiles. He built, collected and built model cars of all types. Eric also had a love for NHRA drag racing which proved to be one of his passions and there were many.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Marie Hampton (Walker); children, Eric Rockmore (Camille), Anthony Rockmore, Erica King (Don) and Jeremy Hampton (Ashley); sister, Linda Black (Wayne Black); thirteen grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Allie Rae Williams; brothers, Ray Lawrence Terrell, Bobby Schaun Hampton; sister, Diane Terrell.
