ERICA LASHAWN POSTON, born on July 3, 1970, was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many during her time on this earth. She passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and commitment to her family and community. A devoted wife and mother, She loved her Sons (The Boys) with every fiber of her being. Erica’s life was a testament to the strength and resilience that defined her character. She was a person of quiet wisdom, known for her caring nature and her ability to uplift those around her. A lover of gospel music, she found joy in the inspirational melodies that filled her soul and brought her closer to her faith. Her culinary skills were exemplified through her baking; she delighted in reading a good book and watching her lifetime movies. Her favorite pass times was sitting at the kitchen table with family laughing and eating her favorite dish, snow crabs. Erica was an accomplished individual, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration. Her calling to be a nurse was more than a career; it was a manifestation of her desire to take care of people. She served her country with honor in the United States Army, demonstrating her commitment not only to her profession but also to her nation. A cherished figure in the lives of her godchildren, Erica’s impact extended beyond her immediate family. She embodied compassion and dedication, qualities that will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A wake service honoring her will be held on January 23, 2025, beginning at 7:15 PM, with an end time of 8:15 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The Funeral Service will be held on January 24, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at 10:30 AM at God's Final Warning Ministries located at 1400 W. Main St., Lancaster, TX.
