ERMA JEAN CURTIS

Erma Jean Curtis, a beloved figure known for her unwavering love and kindness, passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 14, 1932, Erma lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and an unyielding faith that brightened the lives of everyone around her. She served as a probation officer for Dallas County and all of her clients referred to her as Mother  

Erma was a very loving individual who nurtured deep connections with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking immense pride in their achievements and joys. Her warmth and affection were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. An integral part of her community, Erma found great joy in her church and cherished her relationship with her pastor. She was a devoted member of her congregation, and she expressed her faith joyfully through heartfelt praises.

Beyond her love for family and faith, Erma had a playful spirit that made her a true jokester. She had a remarkable gift for spreading laughter and lightness, bringing smiles to the faces of those around her. Her genuine desire to help others left an indelible mark on her community, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

The world has lost a treasure in Erma Jean Curtis, a woman whose legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. Her viewing will be held on January 27,2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, from 11 AM  to 7 PM followed by a funeral service on January 28, 2025, at St. Stephens Community Church in DeSoto, Texas. At 11:00 AM As we remember and celebrate her life, we honor the joyful spirit and compassionate heart of a truly remarkable woman.
