ESTELLA JOHNSON

Mrs. Johnson was born Estella Corrine Banks in 1939 in Tyler, TX to parents Essie and Eddie Banks. Estella was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on January 15, 2022, at age 82.

She met the love of her life, Raymond B Johnson, while walking in the park in Dallas, TX in the late 1950s. Together they had 4 children, Bobby, Vivian, Dolores (Lois), James.

Estella will be remembered for her loving spirit and dedication to others. Whether it was as a nurse’s assistant or working at James Martin High School in the cafeteria, Mrs. Johnson was well adored and certainly left a legacy of love everywhere she went. Estella also loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family.  Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her four children, Bobby Johnson, Vivian Thorne, Dolores Law, James Johnson, her grandchildren Acie Law IV, Acie High, Frances Law, Vivian Law, Libby Weishar, Dwight Thorne II, Jamie Johnson, and her great grandchildren Mackenzie Law, Acie Law V, Harlowe Law, Siya High, Alaya High, Cassius Alexander Shiva High, Michelle Janus High, Ares Israel high, Vivian Law, Dominique Law, Dwight Thorne III, Tremel Ratliff, and Maya Weishar.
