Esther Elaine Burnett passed away on May 16, 2024 in Dallas, TX. She was born on October 6, 1945, in Detroit, MI. Esther touched the lives of many with her vibrant and selfless nature.

During her time as a homemaker, Esther demonstrated unwavering love and care for her family and friends. Her son James fondly remembers a cherished childhood memory of playing church with cousins. Esther surprised them by dressing up as one of the elder church mothers, bringing joy and laughter to all who were present.

Educated in Detroit, Esther was known for her bubbly personality and being the life of the party. She possessed a rare gift of spreading joy wherever she went and was adored by everyone who crossed her path. Her giving spirit knew no bounds as she welcomed children into her home, nurturing them with love and guidance to greatness.

Despite being the life of the party, Esther also had a firm hand when it came to teaching important lessons, showing her commitment to shaping young minds for the betterment of society. Her wit and great sense of humor endeared her to all generations.

Esther is survived by her loving son James Burnett, devoted daughter-in-law Brenda L. Burnett, grandsons Jamone M. Burnett and Jamont'e B. Burnett, one great-grandchild, Dariella Burnett as well as her sister Margaret Russell.

Esther Elaine Burnett will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her infectious laughter, kind spirit, and unwavering generosity. May she rest in peace knowing that she has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
