Fannie Delores Hatch was born to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Marie and Bennie Fisher on March 12th, 1935, in Roane, Texas. She received her formal education in Dallas, Texas where she met and married Mr. George Brantley and to this union five children were born Andrea Williams, Kenneth Brantley, Lisa Mason, Chandra Brantley, Roderick Brantley. A bit later in life she met and married Mr. Standley Hatch AKA Black Diamond.
Fannie was a former member of Munger Avenue Baptist Church. In her spare time, she like quilting and sewing and she was good at it, when her children were small if she saw something in the store she wanted them to have she would buy material and make it herself.
Family gatherings brought her great joy as her house was usually the center of it all. Holidays were extra special so much so that she would bake so many Cakes and Pies we thought she was feeding an Army, needless to say her home was open to any of her family members and friends who wanted to share their special time with her family. Christmas was a holiday that truly lit up her spirit from decorating the tree to decorating the tree to did we mention decorating the tree if you knew her you know. It had been a long-standing tradition for the family to gather on Christmas eve decked in their most festive Christmas pajamas to sing, dance, and share stories as the children anticipated the stroke of midnight when they were allowed to open gifts. During this celebration, it was common to catch her smiling as she became engulfed in the pure happiness of being among those she loved.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Marie and Bennie Fisher; brother, Johnny Fisher; husband, Standley Hatch; sisters, Billie Jean Coleman, Joyce Faye Wooley; son, Kenneth Brantley; daughter, Lisa Mason; great grandsons, Javonte Boyd Brantley and Christopher Garcia Brantley.
