FRED EARL GILLINS

Fred Earl Gillins, a dedicated construction worker known for his kind, gentle, and caring nature, has sadly passed away. Born in Minden, LA on June 3, 1944, he left behind a legacy of hard work and generosity.

Fred's life revolved around providing for his family and spreading warmth wherever he went. His commitment to his work as a construction worker was surpassed only by his devotion as a provider for his loved ones. Whether it was through the labor of his hands or the love in his heart, Fred always put others first.

One of Fred's proudest accomplishments was being a father to his sons and being a grandfather his grandchildren. He cherished the time spent with his family and took great joy in watching them grow and succeed. His impact on their lives will be everlasting.

Outside of work, Fred found solace and joy in simple pleasures. He loved engaging in card games and dominoes, finding peace in the listening to music.   Nature called out to him, especially when fishing outdoors or watching sports events that stirred his passion.

In his younger years, Fred had a fierce spirit on the basketball court, showcasing athleticism and team spirit that stayed with him throughout life.

The viewing for Fred Earl Gillins will be held on April 19, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas, TX. The funeral service will follow the next day on April 20th at 9:00 AM at the same location.

In this time of grieving, as we bid farewell to a loving soul whose warmth touched all who knew him, let us remember Fred with fondness and gratitude for the light he brought into our lives.
