Glenn Dimitri Collins was born on June 28, 1969 at Parkland Memorial Hospital at 2:23 p.m. to Stephens & Gloria Collins.
Glenn was a stay to himself child. As he grew, his lifestyle was the same. Along with Glenn, his brother came along. We had the honor of my mother Irene Gates Grant name him Ricky Ticky, but Glenn was honored to be called Metchie. Their trips to Carthage to play in Granny’s chicken coop as children was the thrill of a lifetime.
After moving to Houston to attend Alcott Elm-Cullen Jr. and then the famous Jack Yates High Choral where he was a trumpet player. After a short period of time, he realized band was not really his calling. Again, he stayed mostly to himself.
After joining Church of the Living God #18, under Bishop U.F. Ware and attending trips to the Assembly, he and his brother got attached to Bishop and he began to make friends and really loved attending church. God had plans on July 26, 2022, this life was over, and now he is at rest.
