GRETCHEN ALLEN

Obituary: Gretchen Elisa (Lisa) Allen was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world on May 30, 2021 at the age of 58. She was born to L.C. Curry and Mildred Jones-Carr in Ennis, TX. She married Joseph Allen and then had two daughters who she adored and inspired. She would always tell her daughters, “ Stay strong and keep fighting no matter what obstacles you may face.” She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1982 and then attended El Centro College. Her courageous spirit and warm heart touched every person she came in contact with, and will forever be remembered. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Allen; two daughters, Candice Allen and Sabrina Allen; ten siblings, Kaye Boyd, Craig Jones, Cassandra Jones, Darrin Carr, Terrance Carr, Travis Carr, Avery Carr, Linda Kay Carr, Jennifer Carr and Chanda Carr and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
