Deacon Harold Minor Sr. entered into this earthly realm on November 24, 1946, to the parentage of Dessie and Alice Shelton Minor (Dear Dear). He was second to oldest of 10 children. During his Earthly journey of life, he believed in Jesus Christ and accepted him as his Lord and personal savior.
Harold Minor Sr. graduated from Arp Industrial High School in 1964 and then moved to Dallas, TX, to attend a technical Trade School to receive his certification as a Machinist. After trade school, he landed his first opportunity with Verson Allsteel Press Co. in Dallas, TX, then later moved to Maddox Metal Works, where he retired after over 30 years of service.
On March 16, 1970, he married the love of his life, his best friend Clara Lean Francis, from Ruston, LA, and started their beautiful life and legacy together. He fathered four handsome sons during his walk of life, one who preceded him in death, and five grandchildren.
Harold Minor Sr. started his walk with Christ at Herman Baptist Church at an early age in Arp, TX. Harold Minor Sr. was later ordained as a Deacon at Oliver Hill Missionary Baptist Church in 1993. He also served faithfully for over ten years not only as a Deacon but also as a Trustee. His love for the Gospel extended in servitude as a Deacon at Christian Missionary Baptist and Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist.
Harold Minor spent his time enjoying God’s creations by spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden.
March 08, 2021, his body gave away to his spirit, and he went on to be with our Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his father, Dessie Minor, and; his mother, Alice Shelton Minor (Dear Dear). His son, Corey Denard Minor, his granddaughter Deanna Lashunn Minor, his brother, Paul Green.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Clara Lean Minor, his children Tim Minor (Debbie Minor), Harold Dessie Minor Jr., and Kendrick Minor (Kandice Minor). He was also gifted with six extraordinary grandchildren, Tim Minor Jr., Dominque Minor, J’Vondric Minor, Kennedy Bivins, Timarcus Minor, and Kaitlynn Thomas, whom he loved dearly. His siblings Caroline Domino (Horris Domino), Dianne West (Berlin West), Maggie Herndon, Catherine Jasper, James Minor (Charlene Minor), Tommy Minor, Judy Minor, Eddie Minor, Charlsie Williams, and Rozzelle Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
