Hubert Lee Cooks was born January 26, 1941 to the parentage of Hullus Cooks and Flora (Cooks) Jackson in Winona, Texas.
He joined the Church of Christ at an early age in Waxahachie. Hubert attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Midlothian, TX.
Hubert retired from DART Transportation.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Willie Cooks, Robert L. Cooks, Clearance E. Cooks and Lennon Cooks; two sisters, Evelyn (Cooks) Medlock and Sulestene (Cooks) Hollingworth.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Esther L. (Cooks) Medlock; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
